Although I listened to the other reviews and ordered a size-up in the waist, I found these pants very restricting in the knee and thigh even though they fit well at the waist. I have a slim, athletic build and have never experienced this problem with other pants of this category. I like the styling and pockets, especially the water-proof bag, however, I would recommend removing it before machine washing and drying; the adhesive seems to come undone otherwise. The material is rugged, but there isn't enough stitching where it is needed most. Once when I grabbed my cell phone from the side pocket,the stitching to the rear of the pocket came undone and left a dime-sized hole at the top of the pocket. I would recommend these pants for casual use and travel, but not for extreme outdoor activities where greater durability and unrestricted movement are required.

I, like everyone else, listened to all the reviews stating to order a size up. I myself have always worn a 34x34. I ordered a size up (36") in the long making it the closest comparison. However when I got them in the mail the two colors I had ordered were two different sizes, though they were marked the same. One pair felt comfortably snug and the other pair I couldn't pull up to my waist. I called customer service and stated my objection and they were more than happy to process my return for free. I loved these pants, I loved the pockets, I loved the material. I loved everything about these pants except for the weird sizing. Buyer beware.

These are some of the hardest wearing trousers I have ever had. They are much tougher than you might think at first. They are comfortable, light weight, and tough! I've beat them up and they came back for more. I had a couple pairs that have been through the swamps of south Florida to New Delhi, India. Took them climbing and they worked great on the rocks, also performed well in thick undergrowth. Only problems poor stitching around the heel tape, and discoloration on the knee after a stain set in. Overall great trousers! Repel mosquitoes and preform superbly under rough conditions.
