A true long lasting water repellent finish. Nano technology locks the treatments onto fabrics so well that rain and spills just run off the fabric surface, even cottons. Importantly, this treatment is one of the first to give repellency without the use of environmentally damaging fluorocarbons.
Our reversible products mean you get two products for the price of one, they are both practical and useful! One product but two very different looks.
Insulation has to come in many shapes or sizes to fit every adventure. Our warm garments include incredibly lightweight microfleece for emergency layering, natural down for night-time freezing and boucle fleece for a super-soft alternative to wool.
Insulating layers and weatherproof shells that interact to give versatile warmth and protection. Zip in or zip out depending on the weather.
Engineered with a human touch. We intergrate lightweight, insulating, breathable and stretchable fabrics to maximise the comfort factor in all the right places.
Many of our garments use fabrics and finishes that give total 'easy care' attributes, such as fast drying and minimum ironing. All of our shirts, even 100% cotton, are designed to need minimum to no ironing. This is achieved either through the use of crinkle weave constructions or by the addition of a finish that encourages creases to simply drop out.
Our DryBag watertight pocket system protects your valuables and electrical items from rain, snow and even sweat. Its durable construction is resilient to extreme climates and harsh conditions, unless completely submerged in water or liquid. Remember; all the best adventures are unpredictable, so we advise you to insure everything you pack.
It's essential when travelling that clothing is as lightweight and packable as possible. At Craghoppers we ensure that all our products are as light as possible without compromising on protection and technical benefits.

Trust Craghoppers to use genuine, go-anywhere breathable GORE-TEX® fabric membrane technology for unbeatable performance and complete waterproof protection, all day long, whatever the weather.
The GORE-TEX® Membrane is at the heart of all GORE-TEX® garments. It is completely wind and waterproof, but permeable for water vapour (perspiration).
The GORE-TEX® Membrane contains over 1.4 billion pores per cm2 (9 billion per square inch). These are 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet, but 700 times larger than a water vapour molecule. An oleophobic (oil hating) sustance is then intergrated to prevent contanmination from things like body oils and insect repellents.
Every new GORE-TEX® product prototype is put through a rigorous series of tests in the Gore testing labs. Not only is the GORE-TEX® fabric tested but all components of the entire product have to prove their excellence under the toughest conditions. Only then is a garment declared worthy of the GORE-TEX® GUARANTEED TO KEEP YOU DRY promise.

Malaria Risk Regions
Non malarial zones where protection is only necessary for comfort reasons. Strong repellents like deet are not necessary. This includes all temperate climates.
Tropical areas where malaria is a real risk. Insect repellent is recommended with a minimum 30% Deet solution recommended for anywhere off the beaten track.
Areas where malaria is present but there is a limited risk of infection. Precautions should be taken against biting but full anti-malaria drugs may be unnecessary, chack with a travel clinic for up to date & seasonal information.
9.5 million mosquito nets:
Roughly 9.5 million mosquito nets impregnated with insecticide have been distributed throughout Africa since 2000. Although they provide effective protection, some mosquitoes have already developed an increased resistance to the insecticides used.
Lyme Disease
In the UK, Lyme disease is carried by the sheep tick. It also feeds on deer and other mammals and birds. It prefers to live in woods, heath and moorland, although it's not exclusive to these habitats.
Cases of the disease are widespread. Anyone can get Lyme disease if bitten by an infected tick and as many as one in three sheep ticks are believed to carry Lyme disease.
Lyme disease can be difficult to diagnose, especially if you have been bitten but do not realise, potentially leading to meningitis or paralysis.
The number of confirmed cases has risen from 292 in 2003 to 861+ in 2008. However, the Health Protection Agency official estimates suggest there could be up to 3000 new cases occuring in the UK every year.
The best method of prevention is wearing appropriate clothing - Don't let the risk of Lyme disease spoil your enjoyment of areas where ticks may be found!
As part of our ongoing commitment to reducing our impact on the world's ecosystem, we're turning to organically produced cotton, farmed without the use of potentially harmful pesticides and toxins.
NosiLife uses a world exclusive, textile impregnation treatment to give synthetic fabrics permanent insect-repellency. Proven 90% protection from insects and mosquitos, that lasts a lifetime of wear.

SolarDry fabric provides essential protection from the sun's harmful UV rays. All our fabrics are tested in every colour to ensure that they meet a minimum UPF 40+, the international standard for clothing to be considered truly protective.
Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF)
The UPF of a garment, is the level of protection it gives against hamrful UVa and UVb radiation.
UPF's are calculated by measuring the amount of harmful UV Radation that passes through the fabric.
